A LANDLORD in Kajang, was left the most peculiar parting gift – an inflatable doll – and RM3,000 in outstanding rent by her tenant, China Press reported.

In a Facebook post, the landlord, who was only identified as Miss Chan, said the unit was rented to a man with a one-year tenancy contract which expires in December.

However, the man started defaulting on his rent and utility payments three months ago.

“We sent reminders several times and the tenant could not be contacted after our last message in August,” she said.

When she visited the unit, she found the doll and a huge mess the tenant had left behind.

“So he left his ‘girlfriend’ behind. How should I handle this? Can this be sold?” she asked.

Chan also said the tenant, who apparently had a cat, discarded kitty litter all over the balcony, clogging the drainage pipe.

She has threatened to reveal the tenant’s identity online unless he paid what was owed to her.

Her post has also garnered a lot of attention online, mostly criticising the tenant’s irresponsible behaviour.

Some also candidly labelled him a “useless Romeo” who left his “woman” behind.

> Oriental Daily reported that Singaporean food vlogger Zermatt Neo was so amazed with the Penang char koay teow that he finished off 18 plates at one go.

Neo said he was making a video for his YouTube channel about Penang’s famous street food following fans’ suggestions.

He said he wiped clean the 18 plates in 40 minutes.

“Initially I wanted to have 20 plates. But I when had my 18th, the hawker had closed for the day,” he said.

Giving his thumbs up, Neo said the taste of char koay teow was “heavenly” and exceeded his expectations.

He also commended Penang’s famous nasi kandar, saying it was something he had never tried before coming to Penang.
