Speculations are rife that Parliament might be dissolved before the federal budget is passed, paving way for the 15th General Elections.

Parliament can only be dissolved by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong upon the advice of the prime minister.

The current Dewan Rakyat meeting is scheduled to end on Nov 29.

Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Azhar Azizan Harun recently told The Star in an exclusive interview that it will take a maximum of 33 days to discuss Budget 2023 after the Supply Bill is tabled in Parliament on Oct 7.
