GEORGE TOWN: Pakatan Harapan will start discussions on seat distribution in Penang for the 15th General Election (GE15) tomorrow, says Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow.
The state Pakatan chairman said the discussion would involve PKR, DAP and Parti Amanah Negara.
He said the coalition had already started the process of interviewing new candidates to contest in GE15.
However, he said the interview sessions for incumbents had not started yet.
Only after the process was complete could the coalition get a clearer picture of which new faces would be chosen, he told a press conference in Komtar here yesterday.
When asked, Chow said there were some incumbents who did not want to contest, but he declined to elaborate.
PKR deputy president Rafizi Ramli had said Pakatan’s distribution of seats among its component parties was almost done.
Chow said the statement by Rafizi was related to discussions for parliamentary seats and not state constituencies. He also said the decision to dissolve the state assembly would be subjected to when Parliament is dissolved.
