A PRESCHOOL teacher caused an uproar for hitting a child and feeding him chilli, reported Sin Chew Daily.

Her acts were filmed by a colleague and the footage was uploaded on social media sites.

In one of the videos, the teacher is seen lifting the head of a crying boy with one hand while stuffing something, believed to be chilli, into his mouth.

Sentul OCPD Asst Comm Beh Eng Lai said police received a report from a 33-year-old woman who claimed that her three-year-old boy was abused at a nursery on Monday.

“The incident happened in May; we are investigating it under Section 31(1) of the Child Act 2001,” he added.

In a response, the nursery’s operator said the teacher had been sacked.

Later, the teacher uploaded a post on social media, apologising for her misconduct while asking for forgiveness.

“I want to first say I am sorry. Everyone makes mistakes and I hope you will forgive me,” she said.

Internet users, however, were not merciful.

They condemned her for physically abusing a child and demanded justice for the boy.

> The daily also reported that Hong Kong star couple Sammi Cheng and Andy Hui are still very much in love even after the male singer cheated on his wife three years ago.

Hui shared a video of him cutting a birthday cake in the shape of a Bible on Instagram on Aug 13, a day after his 55th birthday.

In the video, Cheng is seen yelling excitedly in the background saying: “Haha, it looks so real. Amazing!”

The couple tied the knot in 2013.

In 2019, Hui was secretly filmed kissing 30-year-old actress Jacqueline Wong in a taxi.

Despite the episode, Cheng forgave Hui and stood by him.

> The daily reported that a convenience store’s choice of decoration for the Hungry Ghost Festival caused a debate for being too scary in Taiwan.

An Internet user uploaded a photo showing two bloody figures in one of the aisles in the store. One of the figures was a prop of a pale woman with long hair while the other was that of a child.

Some people complained that the props were too scary, especially for children, but others said they were appropriate as the store sells candy, fruits and biscuits, which were part of the offerings for spirits during the festival.
