PETALING JAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob did not have an official meeting with Perikatan Nasional leaders, says Wan Saiful Wan Jan.
The Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia information chief said what actually happened was an informal chat over lunch.
“If you only meet over lunch, that’s not a proper official meeting,” Wan Saiful said in a Facebook post.

On Saturday (Aug 13), Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob told the media that a meeting took place during the final week of the Dewan Rakyat meeting at Parliament building.
He said that it was attended by Perikatan secretary-general Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin and Perikatan treasurer Datuk Seri Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar.
It is understood that Perikatan has been pushing for a meeting with the Prime Minister to discuss terms of an agreement he signed with Perikatan chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
One of the key conditions was the appointment of a deputy prime minister from Bersatu.
Ismail Sabri told the media that both Bersatu and himself had exchanged their views.
It was also reported that the Prime Minister cancelled a meeting with Hamzah to discuss the agreement at the last minute.
Wan Saiful asked whether the Prime Minister was afraid if he would be questioned during an official meeting.
He was referring to the issue of Umno leaders being in the spotlight over the RM9bil Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) project.
