SINGER Aizat Amdan has been emotional about tying the knot and embarking on the next phase of his life, Utusan Malaysia reported.

He announced that he would be marrying his manager, Elyssa Alia Ilias, 34, on Aug 14.

Aizat, 33, said he had thought deeply about his decision.

Before this, he was said to have focused only on his career, which eventually resulted in him neglecting his personal life.

However, it all changed when he met Elyssa.

After three years of being together, the couple decided to take their relationship to the next level.

“In the beginning, I was not ready to get married. I always questioned my ability and responsibility as a husband.

“For 13 years, my main focus was on music because I love entertaining people. You can say that I was a bit selfish.

“But Elyssa has taught me to become a better version of myself. She has allowed me to share my thoughts and feelings, including matters very close to the heart,” Aizat said.

The couple met at the launch of Aizat’s new single at that time, Hanya Kita Dua.

Aizat, who was named Best Vocal Artiste at the Anugerah Industri Muzik (AIM) in 2009, said he had finally found a woman who understood and accepted him for who he was.

He added that Elyssa would always give her thoughts and ideas on anything he did, and her maturity allowed him to be more comfortable in sharing his feelings with her.

“I’m lucky to have met someone so understanding and who supports my music career.

“She’s among the people who always encourages and gives me support to chase my dreams.

“I never feel alone with her by my side,” said Aizat.

> The cycling programme Primula Pink Ride is said to be drawing more tourists to Kuala Terengganu, Sinar Harian reported.

Organised by Primula Beach Hotel, its manager Suaibah Harun said the programme had not only increased tourist visits but also encouraged more sporting activities, especially cycling.

She said so far this year, the programme had attracted 850 participants from various cycling clubs from in and outside the country.

She added that Primula Pink Ride had been entered in the TIG Challenge Series 2022, an annual activity by Terengganu Incorporated Sdn Bhd.
