Chong to take over from Santhara in Bersatu wing

JOHOR BARU: Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) has appointed former Pemanis assemblyman Dr Chong Fat Full as its new associate wing chief, replacing Datuk Seri Dr Edmund Santhara Kumar who resigned from the post last month.

Bersatu secretary-general Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin said the appointment of Dr Chong was among several matters decided during the party’s supreme council meeting chaired by president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin on Tuesday.

“The meeting also finalised strategies and approaches for Bersatu to strengthen its machinery in facing the 15th General Election (GE15).

“To further promote the involvement of allied Bersatu members in the party, the meeting agreed to appoint Dr Chong as Bersatu new associate wing leader effective immediately,” he said here yesterday.
