Dead naked body in Kelana Jaya murder yet to be identified, say police

PETALING JAYA: Police are still trying to identify the foreign man who fell from the 17th floor of a Kelana Jaya condominium on July 12.

Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid said that no one has come forward to identify the person who was found dead, adding that the motive for the murder has yet to be established.

“We urge anyone who knew the victim to come forward soon,” he said when speaking to reporters on Monday (July 18).

ACP Mohd Fakhrudin said that the investigation revealed that the two suspects arrested on July 12 had met the victim through a dating application.

"We believe the suspects had met the victim several times prior to the incident. The victim went to the suspect's condominium unit. He was believed to have died at least a day before his nude body was found," he said.

It was reported that police had arrested two local men here in connection with the murder of a foreigner in Kelana Jaya.

The body of a man in his 30s was found naked at about 2.50pm on Tuesday (July 12) near a residential building.

The initial investigation indicated that he may have fallen from the building.

However, police suspected foul play and tracked down the two men believed to be responsible for the murder.

The suspects, in their 40s, were arrested in Kelana Jaya at about 10.15pm the same day.

Police also seized the suspects' mobile phones and paraphernalia used in sex acts.
