Jobless man who allegedly murdered girlfriend in Pandamaran to be charged on July 4

KUALA SELANGOR: The unemployed man who allegedly killed his 16-year-old lover in Pandamaran recently will be charged on Monday (July 4).

Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Arjunaidi Mohamed said they have received instructions from the deputy public prosecutors to charge the man.

"He is expected to be charged at the Klang Court Complex on Monday morning," he told reporters after launching the Taman Angkat Amanita at Taman Penggawa, Kuala Selangor on Sunday (July 3).

Asked on the motive for the murder, Comm Arjunaidi said they would not reveal it as it could jeapardise court proceedings.

Police had earlier said that the man had brought the girl to his house in Kg Idaman at around 2am on June 26 and suspected to have smothered her with a pillow.

The incident came to light when the 24-year-old man knocked on his parents' bedroom door after carrying the girl out of his room and placing her in the house yard.

None of the family members heard any noise or commotion during the incident and the shocked family immediately contacted the police.

The deceased lived in Puchong with her uncle after her parents divorced.

The autopsy found that the cause of death was suffocation as a result of being smothered.
