MELAKA: A 40-year-old father of two who got to know a schoolgirl via social media was jailed for having unnatural sex with the 13-year-old, say the Melaka police.
State police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Zainol Samah said the man was facing four more charges at the Sessions Court here, of abducting and raping the girl.
Zainol said the police had expedited the investigation of the case based on the report made by the victim’s mother on June 16 that her daughter had been abducted from her school in Klang, Selangor.
“We detained the suspect at an apartment here on June 26,” he said.
Earlier yesterday, the suspect was sentenced to nine years’ jail and three strokes of the rotan for committing carnal intercourse against the order of nature on the victim.
