KUALA LUMPUR: The retail prices of RON97 and RON95 petrol will be maintained at RM4.84 per litre and RM2.05 per litre for the week from June 30 to July 6.
The Finance Ministry said, in a statement Wednesday (June 29), that the price diesel would also remain RM2.15 per litre, even though the market price for RON95 and diesel had risen beyond the current ceiling price.
The Ministry said the new price is based on the weekly retail prices of petroleum products in accordance with the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM) formula.
"The government will continue to monitor the trends of global crude oil prices and take appropriate measures to ensure the continued welfare and wellbeing of the people,” it said.
