Fire at Taman Samudera flats damages motorcycles


GOMBAK: A fire at the Taman Samudera flats here severely damaged seven motorcycles.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department director Norazam Khamis said the incident occurred at about 5.25am on Tuesday (June 21) and eight firemen and an officer from the Selayang fire station were rushed to the scene.

"The fire was put out by the public before the firemen arrived at the scene. Three motorcycles were completely destroyed, another was 70% damaged, two others had 50% damages while another incurred only 10% damage," he said when contacted Tuesday.

No one was hurt during the incident, he added.

"We are investigating the cause of the fire and the losses it caused," he said.
