MELAKA: Two SPM top scorers in the state received congratulatory messages from Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Sulaiman Md Ali (pic).
Sulaiman on Thursday (June 16) congratulated Lim Yuan Pei from SMK Gajah Berang for achieving 10A+ and Ian George Taye Cheng Ean from SMK St. Francis who obtained 9A+ in the SPM 2021 exams.
“Uncle is very proud of all the SPM high achievers in the state,” he said in a Facebook post.
Sulaiman also said the National Average Grade (GPN) for the state recorded 4.83% which was a slight increase compared with 2020.
“There were also 17 schools in the state, which achieved 100% passing marks. “Among them are SMK Sains Muzaffar Shah, SMKA Agama Sharifah Rodziah, SM Tahfiz Al Quran (JAIM), SMK Iskandar Shah, SMK Dang Anum, SMK Agama Tun Perak, SM Arab Assyakirin, SMK Ghafar Baba, SMK Agama Sultan Muhammad, SM Agama Al-Ehya Al-Karim, SMK Tinggi Perempuan, SM Arab Assaiyidah Khadijah, SMA JAIM Al-Asyraf, SMK Tinggi Melaka; SMA Al Ahmadi and SMA Darul Falah,” he said.
A total of 257 SPM students obtained all As in their SPM.
This is an increase of 2.30% compared with 215 students who obtained all As in the SPM 2020 exams.
