Dr Wee congratulates, extends best wishes to King on official birthday


PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong (pic) has presented his congratulations and best wishes to Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah in conjunction with His Majesty’s official birthday on Monday (June 6).

The Transport Minister - who is also the MCA president - posted the congratulatory message on his Facebook account, with many Malaysians also sharing their own congratulatory messages for the King.

Earlier, the King graced the investiture ceremony of Federal Territories awards, medals, and honours at the Istana Negara.

Also present at the ceremony, held in conjunction with His Majesty’s official birthday celebration, was Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah.

The ceremony is one of six events lined up in conjunction with the official birthday celebration of His Majesty. All the events are scheduled to take place from June 2 to 10.

A total of 1,021 individuals will be conferred federal awards, honours and medals in conjunction with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong’s official birthday this year.
