Cops urge witnesses of two fatal accidents to come forward


PETALING JAYA: Police are urging for witnesses of two separate fatal accidents here to come forward and assist investigations.

The accidents on June 1 and 2 saw the deaths of a 35-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman.

Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid, in a statement Thursday (June 2) said the first accident occurred at 10pm along KM23.3 of the NKVE heading towards the Jalan Duta toll plaza.

“A motorcyclist failed to avoid a car on the second lane of the highway and crashed into it from behind. The crash killed the pillion rider at the scene,” he said.

The second accident saw a car crashing into the back of a lorry on KM9.6 of the Damansara-Puchong Expressway (LDP) at 12.20am Thursday.

“The driver of the car died at the scene,” he said.
