‘No need to extend MOU’

KUALA LUMPUR: The memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the government and Pakatan Harapan must end by July 31, insists Umno secretary-general Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan (pic). There was no need to continue it until the general election is called, he said at the party headquarters yesterday.

“We can just bulldoze it (through),” he said, claiming that Pakatan had already violated the MOU last month when it voted against the government’s motion to extend a provision in the Security Offences (Special Measures) Act 2012 (Sosma) for another five years.
