PM attends MCA Chinese New Year celebration at Wisma MCA

KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob has arrived at the MCA Chinese New Year 2022 reception at the party headquarters on Tuesday (Feb 1).

He was welcomed by MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong and other party top leadership.

Ismail Sabri, who was donning a maroon short sleeve shirt with Chinese motifs, arrived at 9.29am with his wife Datin Seri Muhaini Zainal Abidin.

Also present at the open house were, Home Minister Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin, MIC vice-president and Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri M. Saravanan, International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin, Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein, Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz and Rural Development Minister Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid.

Others include, Barisan Nasional secretary-general Datuk Seri Zambry Abdul Kadir, Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Umno deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan, former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak and Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM) president Larry Sng.

Earlier, guests and VIPs were treated with a lion dance performance at the the entrance of the MCA headquarters.

The reception was done in compliance with the necessary standard operating procedures including physical distancing, taking of temperature and wearing of face masks.
