Umno chiefs hit back at Hadi

JOHOR BARU: Two senior Umno leaders here have hit back at PAS president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang for saying the party’s “court cluster” triggered the Johor polls. Umno vice-president Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin said the Johor state election was only due to the unstable and weak position of the state government with its single-seat majority.

“I respect his opinion but I believe there is a huge contradiction with those views. First of all, the Johor election has nothing to with the ‘court cluster’. I agree that their issues need to be referred to the courts,” he said.
