JOHOR BARU: The state government is hoping for an allocation of RM1bil to maintain about 5,000km of coastal areas, rivers and drainage as part of its long-term flood mitigation plans.
State housing and local government committee chairman Ayub Jamil said that in 1971, Johor received an allocation of RM700,000 under a special programme known as Infra Saliran Johor Barat (ISJB).
