DID warns of dangerous conditions around rivers in five states


KUALA LUMPUR: The Irrigation and Drainage Department (DID) is on high alert as rivers in Pahang, Selangor, Johor, Negri Sembilan and Melaka have crossed the danger level and are advising local communities to follow instructions from authorities.

In a statement on Tuesday (Jan 4) the DID listed Sungai Pahang near Kuala Sungai Chini in Pekan, Pahang showing rising water levels, while Sungai Serting near the Padang Gudang Bridge in Bera was showing a downward trend.
