PBAPP draws up raw water contingency plan for Penang until 2030

GEORGE TOWN: The Penang Water Supply Corporation (PBAPP) has drawn up a Raw Water Contingency Plan 2030 (RWCP 2030) to mitigate the state’s raw water risks until 2030.

PBAPP chief executive officer Datuk Jaseni Maidinsa said this was because it was still waiting for the Perak government to decide on the sale of raw water to Penang as proposed under the Sungai Perak Raw Water Distribution Scheme (SPRWTS).
