Bonus for Sabah’s civil servants

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah civil servants will receive a half-month bonus with a minimum RM1,000 to help them tide over the Covid-19 pandemic, says Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.

He said 20,271 civil servants as well as contract and daily part-time staffers would receive it in January.

Disclosing this while tabling Sabah Budget 2022 at the state assembly sitting here yesterday, Hajiji said the state government would also fund preliminary works for the construction of affordable housing for these civil servants.

The state government had also allocated RM56.44mil to upgrade digital facilities of the civil service to maximise the use of these platforms and increase efficiency.
