PUTRAJAYA: Appointment-based vaccination for those in the Klang Valley who have yet to receive their Covid-19 inoculation is available at 98 private health facilities, says the Health Ministry.
It said the programme was also for those who have yet to get their second dose, adult individuals who missed their first or second dose appointment earlier and other groups, to be announced from time to time.
“This facility is based on appointment and reservation to avoid wastage and unconfirmed demand for vaccines,” it said in a statement yesterday.
To further improve access to Covid-19 vaccination in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur, ProtectHealth Corp Sdn Bhd has developed a reservation system at private health facilities under it.
The list of 98 facilities can be obtained from the Health Ministry’s portal and its social media pages.
The list of the private medical facilities is categorised according to districts with contact information provided. Those planning to be vaccinated are to contact a clinic to get an appointment slot and they will be given a date for inoculation, the ministry said.
On Oct 1, the Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force said that aside from government health clinics, individuals in the Klang Valley who have yet to receive their vaccination appointment date or their second dose can do so at private clinics for free.
