Malaysia needs to increase percentage of students in STEM, says Adham Baba

KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): The percentage of students in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) needs to be increased to 60% to ensure the country has an adequate supply of talent pool in STEM, says Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba.

Citing the Education Ministry's 2020 Annual Report, the Science, Technology and Innovation Minister said the percentage of students in STEM was 47.18% with 20.51% involving Pure Science, while the remaining 26.67% was for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).
