Appointment of PM made in accordance with the law, says AG

PETALING JAYA: The appointment of Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob as the ninth Prime Minister of the country was made in accordance with the law and there is no necessity to legitimise it, says Attorney General Tan Sri Idrus Harun.

He added that any move to legitimise the Prime Minister’s appointment is not in line with provisions of the Federal Constitution and negates the Yang di-Pertuan Agong’s powers as enshrined in the Federal Constitution.
