KUALA LUMPUR: The Security Offences (Special Measures) Act 2012 (Sosma) has been very effective in curbing deviant teachings from spreading in the community, says crime analyst Datuk Seri Akhbar Satar.
He said Sosma was enacted to curb the activities of people or groups who wanted to overthrow or weaken the country, and it was greatly feared by those who broke the law.
