Covid-19 Watch: 19,378 new cases on Friday (Sept 3), Selangor highest with 3,613

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia has 19,378 more cases of Covid-19 on Friday (Sept 3), the Health Ministry reported.

Cumulatively, Malaysia has had 1,805,382 Covid-19 cases since the pandemic began.

In the same 24-hour period, there were 330 fatalities, bringing the death toll to 17,521.

There were also 22,399 recoveries, which means 1,528,672 have recovered from the disease nationwide.

There are still 975 patients in intensive care units, with 463 requiring ventilation support.

Selangor has 3,613 new cases - the highest among all states.

Sarawak has the second highest with 2,464 cases, followed by Sabah (2,404).
