Crowd at PPV caused by misleading message

False hope: Some of those who turned up at the Bandar Baru Ayer Itam clinic after hearing it was accepting walk-ins. — K.T. GOH/The Star

GEORGE TOWN: Hundreds of unvaccinated people crowded a government clinic here, no thanks to inaccurate news that the clinic was offering walk-in vaccination.

What happened in reality was that about 50 people did not show up or rejected their AstraZeneca vaccination appointment yesterday, hence the clinic in Bandar Baru Ayer Itam had to call up people on the waiting list, including foreign university students.
