Malaysians to brace for wet days ahead

GEORGE TOWN: Malaysians have been told to brace for wet days in most parts of the country this week.

According to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia), there will be rain and thunderstorms daily in Selangor, Negri Sembilan, Melaka, Perak, Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, Johor, Sabah and Sarawak this week.Perlis, Kedah and Penang can also expect thunderstorms every day except Thursday.Kuala Lumpur is expected to see a few sunny days but there will be thunderstorms in several places over the week.A spokesman for MetMalaysia said it is currently the southwest monsoon, which is not as intense as the northeast monsoon.
