SEREMBAN: Water supply to several areas in five districts in Negri Sembilan will be temporarily disrupted on Aug 24 to allow Syarikat Air Negri Sembilan (Sains) to carry out pipe replacement and maintenance works at its water treatment plants.
The state water concessionaire said the affected districts are Kuala Pilah, Jempol, Tampin, Rembau and Port Dickson.
Sains Public Affairs Department head Norzita Ismail said consumers can expect a 24-hour disruption from 8am onwards on the day.
Areas affected in Kuala Pilah include Dangi, Johol, Ulu Yuh, Air Mawang, Kepis Baru, Senaling, Sg Dua Besar, Sri Pilah, Seri Menanti, Melang, Tanjong Ipoh, Pelangai, Beting, Parit Tinggi, Gentam, Sri Jemapoh, Padang Lebar and Juasseh.
In Jempol, the areas are Taman Sornam, Taman Satelite, Kg Kuala Jempol, Kg Padang Lalang, Kg Ladang Geddes, Desa Puteri, Kasih Putra, Tmn Bahau, IOI Mahsan, Kg Panchor, Taman Sri Rompin and Kiara Industrial Area.
Areas in Tampin that will experience a disruption include Taman Indah, Taman Clonlee, Taman Tunku Besar, Tampin town, Gemencheh Baru, Taman Dato Taha, Taman Asahan Indah, Taman Sri Asahan, Kg Sri Asahan, Rumah Rakyat Gemencheh 2, Kg Baru Gedok, Kg Gedok, Felda Bkt Rokan and Rumah Rakyat Batang Rokan.
Parts of Rembau that will be affected include Kg Kundur Hilir, Desa Permai Kundur, Kg Pilin, UITM, Ladang Sg Baru, Ladang Bukit Bertam, Kg Sg Timun Dalam, Kg Sg Timun Luar, Rumah Rakyat Lubuk Cina Fasa 1 & 2 and Rumah Rakyat Lubuk Cina Fasa 2.
In Port Dickson, the disruption will affect Linggi, Pengkalan Kempas, Sengkang (Bt.18, 19, 20, 21, 22), Kg Tanjung Agas, Pasir Panjang, Kg Orang Asli Bukit Kepong, Jalan Pantai, Rumah Rakyat Kg Telok Pelandok and Telok Kemang,
Norzita said Sains would send out water tankers to the affected areas if supply was not restored within 24 hours.
