PETALING JAYA: MIC has requested for a Barisan Nasional meeting to be called as soon as possible to discuss the direction of the coalition.

Party president Tan Sri SA Vigneswaran was quoted as saying this was because the Registrar of Societies (ROS) had said that the Umno supreme council was only a “caretaker” of the party.
