Indah Water concession extended until Dec 31, 2034, says Environment and Water Minister

KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): The government has agreed to extend the concession agreement with Indah Water Konsortium (IWK) Sdn Bhd for another 12 years, until Dec 31, 2034, says Datuk Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man.

The Environment and Water Minister said the current agreement with IWK was scheduled to end on March 31 next year, but it was extended based on IWK's excellent performance in managing the country’s sewerage system and assets, which included more than 7,000 sewage treatment plants and sewerage pipes stretching 22,000km.
