Batu Pahat cops investigating incident where Jalur Gemilang allegedly flown upside down

BATU PAHAT: Police will be calling up the manager and workers at a community rehabilitation centre in Penggaram here to help investigations into allegations that the Jalur Gemilang had been flown upside down at the centre.

Batu Pahat OCPD Asst Comm Ismail Dollah said the police received a report on the matter on Monday (Aug 9) at about 3.30pm.

“However, upon visiting the scene, our investigations found that the flag had been taken down and the premises had been closed.

“We are currently looking for the centre manager and workers to help with the investigation,” he said.

He added that the case is being investigated under Section 504 of the Penal Code for intentional insult with intent to provoke a breach of peace and Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act for insulting behaviour.
