Johor Umno staying mum until state assembly reconvenes

JOHOR BARU: Despite calls by the Johor Bersatu leadership for Johor Umno to make a stand on whether to continue supporting Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, the party does not see any obligation to do that - for now.

Datuk Hasni Mohammad said Johor Umno would only make its stand known when the state legislative assembly reconvenes on Aug 12.The state Umno chairman and Mentri Besar said that at the same time, the state government would continue to monitor the political development at the federal level.
