Beer supply running dry, association urges govt to allow breweries to operate at 60% capacity


PETALING JAYA: As breweries remain closed in Phase One of the National Recovery Plan (NRP), a supply shortage for the domestic market is imminent as the remaining stocks are selling out, say food industry groups.

Malaysia-Singapore Coffeeshop Proprietors Association president Wong Teu Hoon said some members have reported being out of beer stocks, following the temporary closure of two leading breweries in Malaysia since early June.
