Man found dead in village in Pasir Puteh

PASIR PUTEH (Bernama): The body of a man with severe wounds to his head was found in the compound of a house in Kampung Chenggal Batu, here on Sunday (Aug 1) night.

Pasir Puteh OCPD Deputy Supt Mohd Azmir Damiri said the body of the man, believed to be in his 30s, was found by the owner of the house around 9pm.

"Upon receiving the report from the homeowner, the police rushed to the location and found the man's body and he was fully clothed,” he said when contacted, here on Monday (Aug 2).

DSP Mohd Azmir said the body was sent to Tengku Anis Hospital for a post-mortem.

"Currently, the case is classified as sudden death and if there are other elements, then police will open an investigation paper accordingly,” he said.- Bernama
