Muhyiddin, political leaders wish King 'Happy Birthday'

PETALING JAYA: Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin wished Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah a happy birthday on Friday (July 30).

The Prime Minister uploaded the greeting on his official Facebook page, with the caption "Daulat Tuanku".

Al-Sultan Abdullah - who is from Pahang - turned 62 on Friday.

He ascended the throne as the 16th King of the country on Jan 31, 2019.

Other political leaders also took to wishing the King happy birthday on their social media pages, including Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak and Transport Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

"May Tuanku continue to rule with justice and fairness. I and all the people will continue to give our undivided obedience and loyalty," said Anwar.

Many Malaysians also conveyed their wishes to the King on the Istana Negara Facebook page.
