PETALING JAYA: Keep to the Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOP), says Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani.

The Inspector-General of Police urged all to follow the set SOPs in order to reduce the rate of infection.

"To achieve this goal, the police would like to remind all that the SOPs set by the National Security Council regarding the restrictions of movement and social activities are still in effect in states under Phase One and Phase Two," he said.

He reminded that no interstate and inter-district travel is allowed, unless it was for approved reasons.

Two representatives from each household are only allowed to travel not more than 10km from their homes for daily essentials and medicine.

For medical reasons, only three people, including the patient, are allowed to go out to medical facilities within 10km of their homes, or the one nearest to them if no facilities exist within the 10km radius.

"The police remain committed to carrying out the government's wish to combat Covid-19 and will continue to enforce SOP compliance for the public health security of the public," he said in a statement on Thursday (July 29).
