Covid-19: Another record high of 17,045 cases as total tops one million


PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded 17,045 new Covid-19 cases on Sunday (July 25), bringing the cumulative total to 1,013,438.

Selangor recorded the highest number of cases at 8,500 followed by Kuala Lumpur (2,045) and Kedah (1,216).

In the same 24-hour period, there were 92 fatalities, bringing the death toll to 7,994.

There were also 9,683 recoveries, which means 844,541 have recovered from the disease nationwide. There are still 970 patients in intensive care units, with 501 requiring ventilator support.
