500,000 doses of China's Sinovac vaccines set to arrive in mid-July, says Khairy

PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia is expected to receive some 500,000 doses of Covid-19 Sinovac vaccine contributed by China, says Khairy Jamaluddin.

The National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme coordinating minister said the doses are expected to arrive sometime in mid-July.

Malaysia had received one million of Pfizer vaccine from the United States as well as one million doses of Astra Zenica vaccine from Japan over the past few days.

Khairy also said that procurement of about 5.4 million doses of Pfizer vaccine by the government is expected to arrive this month.

“We will also be receiving about 500,000 doses of AstraZeneca procured by the government.

“Also, Sinovac will complete the delivery of the remaining balance from 12 million doses this month,” he said at the weekly Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force media briefing on Monday (July 5).
