KOTA KINABALU: When Catherine Dumas was growing up, all she knew of the world was the forest she was born in. Today, the Sabahan is a self-made millionaire running her own packaging business.
It was deep in the forest of Tamparuli, some 50km from the state capital, that Dumas learnt the ways of the village, sourcing for food like fruits, vegetables and fish from her parents’ farm and the nearby river.
