PETALING JAYA: Umno is glad the King shared the party’s view that Parliament should convene as soon as possible, says Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.The party president said Umno was also glad that the Malay Rulers agreed with the party’s stand that the state of Emergency should not be extended beyond Aug 1.

“Umno fully supports the statement by Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah that Parliament should convene soon.
