Among to face two more fresh charges

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah STAR politician Philip Among, who is facing five counts of molest against two women, is expected to face fresh charges. Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Hazani Ghazali said the charges involved criminal intimidation and the violation of SOP.

The criminal intimidation case involved a verbal threat that the 52-year-old Among had allegedly uttered to a 65-year-old Rela guard at the Kadazandusun Cultural Association building on May 29.

In the report, the guard claimed that the politician had threatened him when he was refused entry into the building because he did not have a tag for the pre-Pesta Kaamatan Sagundoi event and was not wearing a face mask.

He also claimed that the politician had among others allegedly told him that he was paying his salary and not subject to instructions.

The second investigation was for flouting SOP.
