Dr Wee calls on Ayer Hitam folks to get vaccinated

PETALING JAYA: Come and get vaccinated to protect yourself and everyone else, Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong (pic) has urged his Ayer Hitam constituents.

The Ayer Hitam MP shared a video on Facebook to encourage people to sign up for the Covid-19 jab.

In the video, Semarang assemblyman Samsol Bari Jamali had even spoken in Javanese to give clearer encouragement and explanation to the residents in Ayer Hitam.

Dr Wee told viewers that he too had received the shot and that there was nothing to worry about, as he was still healthy with no severe side effects.

He also said that there would be a free bus service to ferry residents from Yong Peng and Ayer Hitam to the vaccination centre in Batu Pahat.

“I encourage the public to register for the vaccine via the MySejahtera app, or any other method of registration such as service centres of elected representatives.

“This is so that the vaccination programme will be a success. We have to take care of ourselves and protect ourselves as well as others.

“For the interests of the country and that of everyone, let’s register for the vaccination and receive the shot, ” he said in his video which was posted on Friday (June 11).
