Three siblings nabbed for selling and possessing ganja

KUALA LUMPUR: Police have arrested two men and a woman and seized over 300g of ganja.

Sentul OCPD Asst Comm Beh Eng Lai said they initially arrested a man in his 30's at a low-cost flat at Jinjang at around 4pm, on Monday (June 7).

"We found about 230g of ganja on him which we suspect was to be sold to users at the flats.

"The suspect then led us to a flat unit where we arrested another man and woman aged 23 and 24, who are the suspect's siblings," he said in a statement on Thursday (June 10).

He said when they checked the flat, police found another 70g of ganja there.

"The three tested negative for drugs and did not have any prior records.

"The first suspect has been remanded for seven days while the other two have been remanded for four days to assist further investigations," he said, adding the ganja was worth at least RM750.

Meanwhile in an unrelated case, ACP Beh said they arrested two men aged 21 and 48 at 1.10pm on Sunday (June 6).

"The two were suspected of distributing drugs near a cemetery.

"We seized 25.42grams of heroin on both the suspects," he said, adding one of the suspects has 12 drug-related offences on his record.

He said both suspects were remanded for seven days to help with further investigations.

"The heroin seized is estimated to be worth RM1, 271," he said.
