TOKYO: Japan will be tightening its border control and travellers from Vietnam and Malaysia will be quarantined on arrival to prevent the spread of the more contagious variants of the coronavirus, the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) reported.Travellers from the two South-East Asian countries would have to stay in government-designated facilities for six days after arrival, VNA quoted government sources as saying on Monday.
Travellers from Afghanistan will be quarantined for 10 days while those from Thailand and certain states from the United States will be quarantined for three days.
