Man killed after car crashes into tree at Pasir Gudang Highway

JOHOR BARU: A 35-year-old man was killed after his car crashed into a tree at the Pasir Gudang Highway heading towards Perling here.

Larkin Fire and Rescue Department operation commander Lasidin Narlano said the incident occurred at 2.59pm Tuesday (June 1).

“We deployed 10 men to the location along with a fire truck and one Emergency Medical Rescue Service (EMRS) unit.

“The victim, identified as Lee Chin Yong, was pronounced dead at the scene by the medical team,” he said in a statement.

He added the victim’s body was handed over to the police for further action.

Johor Baru North OCPD Asst Comm Rupeah Abd Wahid, when contacted, confirmed the case.
