Covid-19: Dayaks urged to make it a low-key Gawai in order to save lives


KUCHING: Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas has urged his fellow Dayaks not to return to their longhouses and villages for the Gawai festival to curb the spread of Covid-19.

The Deputy Chief Minister, who chairs the state disaster management committee, also appealed to those in longhouses and villages not to hold any gatherings, open house or "ngabang" (Gawai visiting).
