Dad’s in good health, says Isa Samad’s son dismissing rumours of ex-Negri MB’s death

SEREMBAN: Former Negri Sembilan mentri besar Tan Sri Mohd Isa Abdul Samad (pic) is in good health and resting at his home in Senawang near here, says his son Mohd Najib.

The Port Dickson Umno Youth head has denied rumours that his 72-year-old father, who was the state’s longest serving mentri besar and former Felda chairman, had passed away on Thursday (May 27) night.

“My father is at home because we are not allowed to travel. He is in good shape and let’s pray he remains so, ” he said, adding that Mohd Isa did not have any health problems.

A 47-second audio clip went viral on WhatsApp on Thursday claiming that the former Jempol MP had died at about 8pm.

Mohd Najib said he received many phone calls after the message went viral.

“I have no idea who is behind it and what the motive is, ” he added.
