PETALING JAYA: There are many ways to improve ventilation and air filtration to reduce the incidence of airborne Covid-19 infections in indoor spaces, says an expert.

Leong Siew Meng, the former head of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (Ashrae) Malaysia chapter, said its position document on infectious aerosol showed that heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems with increased ventilation and improved air filtration systems could reduce airborne infectious diseases.
